At BySelling ("we", "us", or "our"), protecting your privacy is the cornerstone of our marketplace. We operate a "Firewalled Ecosystem" designed to connect commercial vehicle sellers with professional buyers without ever exposing your personal contact information to the open internet.

BySelling Ltd operates globally. This policy is strictly designed to meet and exceed the requirements of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Regardless of whether you are selling a van in London or New York, your data is handled with enterprise-grade security.

2. The Information We Collect

A. For Sellers (Private Individuals)

Vehicle Specifications: License plate (VRM), make, model, year, and vehicle imagery.
Verification Data: Mobile phone number (verified via secure SMS) and email address.
Geographic Data: City and Region/State to facilitate localized dealer interest.

B. For Dealers (Professional Buyers)

Corporate Identity: Company name, registration details, and authorized personnel names.
Financial Records: Wallet balance logs, top-up history, and lead-unlock transactions.

3. How Your Data is Shared & Protected

Unlike traditional classified websites, BySelling does not broadcast your identity to the public.

            The BySelling Firewall: When you list a vehicle, your Name, Phone Number, and Email are encrypted and hidden. They are only released to a vetted, registered automotive professional after they have paid a specific transaction fee to "Unlock" the lead.
        

Automated Specifications: We share your license plate with authorized third-party APIs (e.g., RegCheck) to automatically populate technical specifications. This process does not identify you personally.
No Third-Party Marketing: We never sell your personal data to third-party marketing lists or insurance cold-callers.

4. Data Retention & Security Measures

We implement rigorous security protocols, including IP Rate Limiting to prevent bot scraping and SSL Encryption for all data in transit.

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to facilitate the marketplace transaction. Once your vehicle is sold, or upon your request, your contact information is permanently scrubbed from our active leads database.

5. Your Rights & Data Control

Right to Access: You may request a portable copy of all data BySelling holds regarding your account.
